Location: Not far enough north! | I used to use a 6'10" rod for throwing gliders and WTD lures but with the increasing length of my other rods I have trouble feeling comfortable throwing such a short rod and my gliders are getting neglected. I dont really like using the long rods for these lures either.
So I have an old fig rig that was 7'6" but thanks to a friend is now about 7'4". I am just wondering where I can find a new tip the right size to fit the rod where it is broken off. Of course the rod did not break cleanly and has a frayed end, so should I cut the end cleanly and if so with what? Also is it even worth trusting a rod that has been broken already?

| Www.mudhole.com. I would cut your rod tip even and then put the new tip on and it will be good as new. |

Location: Land of the Musky | 2x for www.mudehole.com Just get some calipers and measure your "new" tip diameter so you can fit it with the correct tip internal hole diameter. They have a full selection of micro to monster saltwater tips for rods. |

Location: South-Central PA | Use a dremel tool to trim the tip back. Make sure you trim back to the last spot it cracked.
Like James said, use calipers to measure the tip in mm and then give Mudhole a call. You'll probably need a tip with a ring diameter of 8mm, most running guides and tips on musky rods are 8's.
