Location: oswego, il | I have not been either but there are hotels. One thing I would recommend is to take a few of these ........... along your boat partner would appreciate it. J/K

| St. Clair and the rivers is an awesome place to fish. Here is a good place to stay, these are warm people and have a loft for rent and they are on the water.

Or I would suggest staying in Ontario as another option. As for the fishery, you can fish just about any way you like and you will catch them....good luck! Jon Bondy |

| Terry's Marina has a floating cabin he rents. Park model setting on a barge. Super nice people. You get a dock with it about 10' from your door. Stayed there last year and will go back for sure. Last years rates were $300.00 for the weekend or $500.00 for the week. They are located on Anchor Bay. Google them you will find their contact info.
Jon,
Where is a good place to stay on the Ontario side? Any locations that resemble a fishing resort? Always like that type of atmosphere. Have never fished the Canadian side. Thinking about bitting the bullet and getting a passport and trying it. |

| There are lots of private rentals on the lake. Several hotels in Roseville too that are close to the ramps. check the Lake StClair Network online too---you might find some stuff there----Good Luck , Jobu |

| They are limited. There is a newly refurbished one on the Belle River about halfway down the lake http://www.belleriveryachtclub.com/ and there is a very small hotel right by that as well called The Petite Dragon. There are plenty of hotels just off the bridge on Huron Church Rd in Windsor as well with the best ones for boat plug ins being the Super 8 in case you want to fish the east side or the Detroit River. Good luck! |

Location: Cave Run Lake KY. | Googled up Terry's Marina and it looks good, could you tell me How many fishermen the cabin's hold as we may have 6 fishermen on a one week trip and do you get any kind of break from the wind on that side of the lake. I have a 17.5 ' boat that I have guided out of for ten years on all kind of water, but having fished out of St Clair Shore's in a 20' lund coming back at night we whould allways be heading into a northwest wind with 4ft'ers hitting us all the way in. I don't whant to do that with my 17'er. If I had a bigger boat I whould not fish anywhere else. Thanks Marv. |

Location: Sw Pennsylvania | Le Petite Dragon. Stayed there for the last 2 years, right at the mouth of the Belle River Ontario. You can rent boat spaces at the belle river marina to keep your boat in and they have 24 hr security guards

| There was a queen size bed in the bedroom, a loft upstairs with a mattress on the floor ( have to crawl up there, not enough room to stand up ) and a pull out bed in the couch. Not a ton of room for 6 guys but if everyone gets along well should be fine. The cabin itself sits on a channel so no waves bouncing you up and down. As far as the wind you will have to depend on others for that info. I have an 18' Lund and we had no problems, but we stayed in Anchor Bay. We got into the smallies and my girlfriend was having so much fun catching them that I did not get much muskie time in. Only 4 hours from the house and definately planning on fishing up there this year at least once a month plus a week or two during vacation. Thinking about trying LOTW for a week but no convinced that I want to drive that far. Hope you have a good trip. You will love the place !! |
