| A buddy and myself just got into muskie fishing 2 years ago and didn't have alot of money to start out with. For this reason it was a big deal to us when we lost a lure and leader. I bought a lure retriever pole from Frabill and it works great.....as long as your lure is 15 feet or less down, not hooked into timber badly, and you have a clear shot at it. I then decided to try to get a drop down since I have a bass fishing one and it worked great other than being a pain to keep on the line. I couldn't find anything for muskie sized lures. I then built my own to try. I have now modified mine to work in all conditions and have decided to start selling them. I appreciate all of the help we received from members on here so I decided to give you guys first chances to get them. They are called log lifters, and there is a reason for that, if you can't get the lure out of the log, they are strong enough to bend the hooks or pull up the log. Myself and a buddy used them all of last year as a prototype and only lost one lure, compared to the 50 plus we lost the year before. We only lost the one because the wind was terrible and the line was wrapped around too many branches to get to the lure. These are bullet proof! You just hook it on your line, and let it slide down while holding onto the rope. The eyebolts are all drilled, tapped, threaded in, and welded. The body is 1 1/4 inch solid steel and the chains are 220 pound working strength. There are no bolts to let water in to rust them out, these are all welded construction retrievers. They weight almost 2 pounds and most of the time just the weight knocks the lure loose, but if it's really stuck the chains are 16 inches long each and you jiggle it until the chains catch in the hooks. These are now all powder coated in your choice of black or taxi cab yellow. This is one of the strongest finishes on the market. I am in the process of getting good coverage from red. I will have a lifetime warranty on these, if it ever breaks, just send it back however you want with $5 for return shipping. I will repair it, or if it's too bad, replace it at no charge. The standard models are $27.50 and the monster trolling edition is $32.50 and weighs nearly 3 pounds. It will get to the deepest diving oversized trolling cranks. If you think about it, that's less than the price of one lure and leader. I have no problem with making these to order is you want a certain color or a certain style. I also have no problem with shipping them, all you have to pay is actual shipping if you need it shipped, $5, and it will be sent priority mail with delivery confirmation. I accept paypal, and postal money orders. Thanks and let me know if you have any questions. And yes, that is a full size 9" DD next to the standard models.

| No, the Chicago show was the only show within our driving range. We had a good time, it was a good show. There were alot of new baits out there this year that look great. Just send me a pm or e-mail if you decide you want one, or would like more info. Thanks |

| Scott,
It was great meeting you in Chicago. The lure retriever looks awesome and will save anglers money!! Nice to be able to save instead of having to replace precious baits. Good Luck in 2012! Steve |

| To answer the new frequently asked question.....yes I will ship to Canada.... it is 9.50 for the shipping making them a total of $34.50....also if you want more than one, it looks as though I can ship 2 for 11.50. This is the actual shipping cost, I'm not charging a dime extra. Also, if you have special requests, feel free to ask, and I will do my best to accommodate them. They are being made to order at this point, so they will ship as soon as the paint is cure and ready to ship, which should be 4 days total. All us orders will be going out priority mail and will arrive in 2-3 days from ship date. All in all you should receive your package 6-7 days after your order is placed. Thanks and I hope everyone enjoys them. *****please see update on CANADA shipping below*******

| For those of you who have ordered and paid already, your retrievers will go in the mail on Monday or Tuesday, the finish is dry on them and ready to ship, if any of you would like to try the new coating options, pm me and I will do it at no additional cost. I am now trying a rubberized spray coating that is supposed to be very durable against scratches, etc. It is also paintable, so they are still painted black or another color if you would like. It is a textured coating so the paint doesn't look as slick, but also provides a great grip when your hands are wet. The thought is that it should also be easier on the lures when bouncing the weight on them since it will give some cushion. Another upgrade you all will be receiving is that the guide eyes are now also drilled and threaded in, with a new upgraded metal epoxy. I'm upgrading items as I go to try to get everyone the best product I can without increasing the price. These will of course save you money in lures, but the main thought it saving those special lures that are custom painted one of a kinds, or the ol faithful that has caught many fish for you. Thanks to everyone for the support, and feel free to PM with any questions. |

| For anyone wanting these shipped to Canada, I found out when mailing the ones that were purchased already that the shipping ended up being $12.75......for the ones that already ordered, you are ok, because I told you the 9.50 that they told me, but from now on Canada shipping is $12.75 priority because I thought these weighed about 1.5 pounds but they actually weigh 1 pound 15 ozs........now the good news is that if you want two, one for a buddy or whatever, I can get 2 in the box and it's still 2 ozs under the weight limit, so I can ship 2 for the 12.75. Thanks |

| Just want to let everyone know that Scott's product looks real good (just got mine) and his communication with me was fantastic. He really takes great pride in his work and goes out of his way to make sure his customers are satisfied. In addition, Scott donated a retriever to auction off at the Michigan Muskies Alliance (MI Chapt. 47) annual banquet on March 10th. So, not only does Scott have a nifty, well make product, he supports MI as well. At $25 this thing is a steal. Give Scott's retriever a try, I don't think you will be sorry. |

| hey guys new news.....this week at the request of some of you, I started powder coating. For those unfamiliar with this, it is one of the most durable finishes on the market. I'm new at it, but they look pretty good and you can beat the body with the chain and the metal will dent before the coating comes off. It does cost a little extra to do, and I hate to do it, but if you would like the powder coat it will be an extra $2.50.....If it is a multiple order however I will work with you on the extra cost. The only reason I'm charging extra for it is the cost of the coating. It is $10+ for 8ozs of the coating and requires a curing oven to run at 400 degrees, an air compressor running, and a hot gun which is high voltage. I will still do the rubberized coating for the original price, and like I said, I will work with you some if necessary on the cost of the powder coating as I am new at it and really just trying to help people out. Thanks to everyone for the support, and thanks to the guys that let me try it on theirs this past week, yours will be in the mail the first chance I get. I hope everyone enjoys their product and I hope it saves them some lures this season. If you have any questions regarding this feel free to pm me. |

Location: Algonac, MI | ...and it works for other things, besides lures!!! I bought one of these last month, which was delivered to Chicago show.
We had a bad storm last night on St Clair, with gale winds. Our wooden swim ladder, which the kids use to get on ice, and out of water in summer, was scarfed up by waves and broken sheet ice. (all ice is gone on LSC after last night)
Ladder is 12' feet long, and 3' wide, made of treated 2x6's. It was floating about 10' from the seawall. I added four 5/0 trebles to the snap clips on the "log lifter" and retrieved it out of LSC, without any issue. First throw. LOL
Already paid for itself, and muskie season does not start here til June!!

| never mind, I think I just saw how to do it. Here is a pic of the yellow, which is almost a taxi cab yellow, you can't miss it, and the matte black next to a full size 9" DD to give you an idea of the size, they are 1 oz shy of 2 pounds. The pics are attached to the last post.

I have 3 available right now, one is a black powdercoat, one a yellow powdercoat, and the 3rd is my new monster trolling edition which weighs almost 3 pounds and can get to the deepest largest trolling lures. All are the carribeaner clip models with powdercoating. The standard size are $32.50 shipped anywhere in the us priority mail with delivery confirmation.
