| Can someone explain the advantages of a glass rod over a graphite rod? What applications would a glass rod be preferred over a graphite rod? |

Location: South-Central PA | Trolling and live bait fishing and any time there will be considerable shock to a rod from a strike or hookset. Like MuskieSwede said, I don't see any application for a glass rod in a casting situation.
