| Having difficulty getting the mold to accept a good pour,I think because of the heat retention of the material and the rough mold surface. I am going to try another type of plastisol when I return from my road trip this weekend, and will let you know if I can get a clean creature to pull from the mold.[:bigsmile:] |

| If not I have a smaller version I can try to make a mold for with some envirotex lite,If thats a better material to use? |

| I have used cast-n-craft liquid casting resin with good results. I like the fact that it is clear and you can see what is going on. The other options being aluminum and silicone rubber. I believe silicone has the best release/finish. I have made some two piece molds and am experimenting with an injecting system. |

Cool idea Raze1 I have some thoughts along the same lines. I was thinking of a three-piece cavity like a wedge/basket mold, and a pot and plunger runner system like the old compression molds had. If I actually do it I’d have multiple cavities made from Aluminum with cooling lines. Either way it’s a slow process that’s probably not worth automating. You’ll always need an operator to insert the hooks, weights, lineties, and etc…
Fun stuff - just need a shape that doesn’t rip them off too bad.
