Location: Ottawa Lake, MI | Last year the hot bait at the shows was the double dawg. After a season of being available to all anglers what did everybody think about the bait? Was it worth the hype? What type of luck did you have with it vs. the standard one tail dawg? |

Location: Gilberts IL/Rhinelander WI | I got two at the shows last year and caught a few fish over the season, I feel they are a much more vertical presentation and work better in deeper water, compared to regular mag dawgs. While I fish some very shallow water they will not replace mag dawgs for me. Most used lures for me the past season were mag dawgs and soft tail phantoms. |

Location: N.FIB | I think alot of muskie fisherman have alot of single tail dawgs and some medussa`s that there was no need to pick up a double dawg yet,maybe this yr I`ll get one but have enough rubber baits and don`t need anymore,will just put a medussa on if I think I need more tail action. |

| Wow... surprised at the bad reviews.
I've had lots of success on LOTW this year, and more specifically in fall, with Double Dawgs.
Awesome bait... lots of hang time. Zero problems with it "falling apart" etc... Multiple fish on the two that I own and still going... |

| I liked the action on these. They have a nice slow drop and fit in well between a Dawg and a Medussa. I caught two fish this year; a nice 48 on Tonka this fall and about a week later I was looking for another and was ripping the bait and snagged a 15 pound carp....  |

| I like their size.. Bigger than a mag, and lighter than a pounder.. Easy to work shallower than a normal dawg, and looks far bigger to me than a mag dussa..
Had a few follows, and 1 mid 40s miss one, but I barely threw them so I wouldn't complain..
Sorta tried saving the few I had for vacations last year, but I'll probably throw them around town more next year.. |

First cast with a new DD last summer---darn it hung up! There goes 23.00 bucks!
No wait--its moving---its a fish! Nice solid 48 incher---first fish on any type of Dawg for me.
Can't believe anyone has not mentioned the twin tails getting tangled on the cast---Very frustrating indeed...
Otherwise a great looking bait.

Location: Grand Rapids, MI | It's another tool and can't be compared to other baits like a magDawg or a Medussa. Not sure about the "hype"... it's a good bait that catches fish. Great bait when you need something that hangs a little more.
I would be interested to hear more about "Had my double dawg fall apart before I even caught a fish with it" and what happened exactly. |

| Re: the tails getting caught up... At least with a twin tail when one of the tails gets caught up the other on is usually free having pretty much the same action as a regular mag dawg for your retrieve... I LOVE this about double dawgs! |

BTW........ If the tails are getting tangled up on the cast than you arn't thumming the reel properly.............Maybe try trolling.
When my 18 yr.old daughter throws these lures,..... it looks like a work of Art. Just beautiful.

| I cut the little arm tails off mine because they would hang up way too much. Otherwise it is a really good bait to work slow because it sinks so slow. |

Location: Elko - Lake Vermilion | Guys I boated 15 fish on the double dawg in 2012,..3 on the pounder D.D.
I throw this lure a lot ! As far as them falling apart the only problem I have had is that a couple that were used more than others started to peel a thin layer(outer covering) off. this was not a big deal to me because these were the the 2 that got Bit the most.
I just picked up a "smaller regular size" Double Dawg for early season fishing and Cave Run in April. This smaller d.d. is going to be a good one.

| I only tried mine last year for about 10 minutes. Pull just a tiny bit more than a mag but I was having tail tangle problems casting into the wind. About 1 out of every 4 or 5 casts was messed up so I switched back to a mag. That said 2 possible MN state record muskies where caught on them last year, and many other very nice fish... so this next season (especially early and late) I'm hoping to give them a much more thorough work out. |
