I know Steve W fishes Pelican a lot and haven't seen any reports by him on this lake for a while. Are you keeping something from us or haven't you been on the lake lately? Anyone else have anything to report on Pelican? We plan on going up there soon and are looking for some help. patterns, hot baits, etc.
Thanks for any info[:p]

Pelican has been very good this year! I have done well on the rocks with creatures and Suicks, and in the weeds with Undertakers and Suicks. My topwater bite there was as good as always when I was able to get on the water, which was unfortunately not enough!! []

Just got back from the Kevin Worrall Tourney. Tough fishing, tough weather. We watched the guys who won it catch their 42 1/4", we had just made a snide comment about both of them using orange suicks and not even five minutes later they bang her. Same guys who won it last year. We were in Trecherous Bay at about 8 a.m. We saw alot of other guys fishing with orange as well. Didn''t work for us though.

I will have to say it was my first time fishing this tourney and plan to be there next year for sure! Even though Pelican is not one of my favorite lakes to fish. It is a very well run and goes towards a great cause. At $85/team it''s affordable to boot.
