| Please note that the most recent Navionics update for the North chip will cause loss of 1' contour HD survey data inside of the Fox River navigation channel and Green Bay. The latest map will overlay the navigating channel with government data which will leave you with a straight edged channel and single depth display inside of the channel boundaries - no detail whatsoever. Once you have completed an update, your map cannot be restored to the previous version.
I have made Navionics aware of this concern and was told that the original map was "incorrect" and that the government data supersedes the sonar survey. I found this ironic in that we purchase these maps for the detail and are told that they do not replace official government charts. They have taken my concern into consideration for a product enhancement. If you share my concern, please let Navionics know by submitting a problem report to the address below:
