I have a few of the 4-10 oz Big Dawgs and they load fine with 4 oz bucktails. In fact, it's my bucktail rod vs my Slingblade.

The big dawg is a great rod down to dbl 10s they are to stiff for light stuff . This being said they are amazing if the baits over 5oz . they load up really nice and are a testament to the legend line. every rod is designed to work like it says and then does it. The sling blade is just a fantastic rod as is the top n tail and the big nasty. these rods are so good they outclass all but the very best custom rod makers. If your thinking that your going to use lesser weighted lures more often i would strongly suggest the Sling Blade over the big dawg . Blades are really nice rods i wouldnt trade my 2 sling blades for any rods on the market.
