Location: Forest Lake, MN & Bemidji, MN | I was out yesterday and my 13" jointed believer started sinking after being trolled a few minutes. Surface temps were 40-41 degrees if that could possibly matter. I noticed after my first pass when I would cast it out at the start of another trolling pass that it would start sinking fast before I was moving. I recently purchased it (used "new" on this site and do not feel it was withheld or the guy knew, it still had a price tag on it and he claimed it had never seen the water) and this was it's first use. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this or could recommend a fix?
My assumption is that it was taking in water through the two screws on the front which the other size believers do not have and I do not know why they are there. I would not have purchased this had I known it sank. Drifter's website indicates it should float. I guess maybe it's a bad one.
Thanks.

Location: Des Moines IA | Since you still have the price tag, call drifter and arrange to send it back. They'll probably replace it no questions. |

Location: WI | Mine did the same thing. I put some epoxy around the line attachments and that seemed to help. |

Location: Forest Lake, MN & Bemidji, MN | Unfortunately it was only a partial sticker on the bait, which I peeled off before I used it. So unless they would just take it back in good faith I am likely SOL on that one. I will call them and see. Other wise I will try the epoxy route as mentioned. Do you guys know why they have the extra two little screws in the diving lip between the line attachment rings? |

| i've had no problem with drifter's service. i had two fairly new lures crack around the same time, one my fault for bouncing it off the a dock, i emailed the company and was sent replacements for both lures and a squirly erni for my troubles, i did explain to them that the one was my fault but they replaced it anyways saying their product should be tough enough to take a little beating |

| I agree, I think they make good baits (all of them). They are high quality and I have done well over the years with their productus. My goodness, there have been a lot of fish caught on these baits. |

Location: Forest Lake, MN & Bemidji, MN | Update on this: One email to Drifter explaining the situation with the bait, I had paid cash and had no receipt and asking them to inspect it and replace it if they felt I hadn't abused it is all it took. They responded in about 15 minutes to my email and said send it in and we'll replace it so I did. I received an email yesterday stating there is definitely something wrong with it and my replacement is in the mail. Awesome customer service! |
