| Please excuse me if this subject has been talked about before, but I'm interested to know what deep water water baits you reach for first when you hit the water. I'm getting into trolling and would like to have some nice options in my tackle box. I'm mainly interested in baits that could deep, say 15 - 20'. I have a couple Legend Perch baits as well as Cisco Kid, Believers, Bucher Depth Raiders, etc., but am interested to hear some of your favorites. Thanks for your input! |

Location: Grand Rapids MN | Slammer deep divers (even the 7" have huge head shakes), Baker's, Tuff Shads.. and if you want slightly smaller and a little more subtle action there's Manns Stretch and Storm Mag Deep Thundersticks that get down there as well.
There's a lot of cranks out there... Love the crank's and trollin'! |

| The larger size scuba divers are great they get down fast. I have done well on the 7.5" casting also . The jointed ones are good also but they don't get as deep casting.
Good luck,

Location: Des Moines IA | My experience trolling deep goes like this. Buy a bunch of big $ deep divers. Throw some line out. Get snagged, lost a couple pricey lures . So I figured I needed a lure retriever, bought 3 different styles. Got snagged, got some back, still lost pricey lures. So from here on out. 20 FOW or more, I'm all about perchbaits. Cheap, easy to replace, and 20 FOW with 60 feet of line out. If they don't eat a perchbait, they're not hungry. |

| Guest,
The tails will not be available until this winter at the musky shows. We tested them thru out the summer and fall last year and made sure they worked the way there where intended to work. Things worked out good!
They will be in most stores next spring.

| Newman Lures, Hose Baits, Legend Lures, Talonz and Supernaturals. Just shot this short video last week and posted it today of an exclusive Big Wood Supernatural with three depth settings. Check out the "wander" this bait has as it moves farther away and closer to the camera.

| We only had about 5 or 6 feet of line out here to get the shot, but with more line, the wandering is also more dramatic. I have ran a handfull of the Bigwood Supernaturals and they each have a sweet spot in terms of speed, between about 3 1/2 and 5 mph from what I've seen. Find out the ideal speed for yours to wander and run it there!

Bill, Those tails are sweet looking on those baits! Definitely picking some of those up this winter. Good stuff! |

Location: Hugo, MN | Duff's Supernaturals and his Headlock baits are sweet. Any bait that can wander like that is going to outfish a straight running bait right next to it. The Headlocks run great at about 4.5 mph. |

Location: Bemidji, Lake Vermilion | Both Supernaturals and Headlocks are awesome baits. Anyone who doesn't have some should get some. They flat out catch fish. There are great color options and these are some tough baits that can take some rock hopping if thats where the fish are. In addition to absolutely awesome natural action, they can be trolled to a variety of depths and at diff speeds. I also got specifically turned onto these baits because of the erraticness of their action. You don't need to rip them or mess with them, turns and small speed changes and their natural action on straight runs triggers all the bites you need...
I put in one photo to the contest on the site this year, you can see one of the Supernatural Fat Perch being picked out of the net in the background. Did I mention, they catch BIG fish? LOL |

Where do i get one if those slammer tails?
Big Game Tackle has two diffrent size tails and they dont hang up on the hook shank by the split ring taking action away from the tail. |

| esoxone,
I played around with the tails on the rear of some glides and did not like the looks.
I mainly ran them on cranks. Trolling and twitching.
As far as taking away from the action of the bait by having the tail cover the end of the hook and split ring, I liked running it that way and the fish seemed to like it that way as well. The tail acts like a shrink tube and kept the hook out from the rear of the bait. If you do not like this, cut the tail a little shorter to expose the end of the hook and you could run it that way to.

| Thank you,Bill.
So you suggest to use them on crank baits and trolling and twitching lures, rather than on jerk bait.
I wanted to use them on jerk baits to have lures like squirko, phantom, ecc.
However I will buy them when they will be available on the market to use them on cranks, ecc.
