Both are excellent, so you can't go wrong. Both have also been producing fish as of late as well. Pewaukee may get a little better review as there are just flat out more fish in there due to the size, but when Silver is really going, I'd put it up against Pewee.

I don't fish Silver, but I pound away on Pewee pretty good.

It's been a slower year for Pewee. A wise man once told me, "Bad spring, bad summer equals bad fall". That pretty much sums up the lake.

You can still catch fish, but you gotta do a little more hunting than in the past.

Water was 54.5 on Saturday which is still a little high for suckers. Once it cools down in to the 40's it should be better.

Good luck to yah.

Another poster said Silver is currently covered in weeds. Have you found that to be the case Tuffy1? Any other recommendations as far as lure selection goes on these lakes right now? Thanks, guys. Really appreciate the advice. This will most likely be my last trip of the year so I want to make it a good one.

Goose; Okauchee has given up a couple dandies this week. Good chance at a trophy out there.
Pewaukee has been really good this year. There was a slow period in May, then again late July and early August with the high water temps. But June, Late August and September was on fire on Pewaukee as my Boat had close to 100 muskies in that 2 1/2 month time frame. Pewaukee has turned and there should be active fish all over the place. I suggest you pick a colder than normal day after turn over. For me those are the better bite days...
