215# I started going to the gym everyday after knee surgery in august. Now I can throw huge baits without any pain and I don't have to wear tendon bands or the elbow brace.

If your serious about a two pound dawg you will need to make sure you have a poolstick rod (I used a XXXH St Croix) and the real issue is the number of times that the bait hangs up on itself while casting. Good luck and maybe make a workout video with the 2 pounders?

I use either a XH 9' St Croix custom or a 9'8" XH Thorne bros predator with a 16dc Trinidad. There's absolutely no need for a xxxxxh rod. If your wrapping the bait often your casting forum is wrong.
