I was wondering if there is any tricks to keeping ice of your rod eyes and reels for late fall fishing? BG

I know there is a spray but not sure how well it works.

So maybe if I'm missing something here you could help explain instead of making fun of me??? We all come here to learn and help others as we can. Thanks

Let's just say it is a lubricant and leave it at that. Vaseline or bag balm are other examples and also work. I use chapstick (on my fishing rod). Fits right in my pocket and I don't get quizzical looks from people when I take it out on a cold day.
