OK, for those of you who haven't experienced one of these, here's the deal.

The Riddler (so named by Shep, so named by us all) will offer a clue a day (or more or less, if he feels like it) that will lead someone to the 'treasure'... a word, phrase, post, or other item published somewhere on the OFM websites. No one should expect this to be easy, but it is fun...especially for for the Riddler.

Prize is a selection of very nice and highly desirable items from our friends at Suick Lures and Badwater Baits , Tackle Industries , and Fishouflage . No fee to enter, but there are a couple rules.

Registered visitors only. Anonymous snipers, creepers, sleepers, critics, drunks, monks, and punks will lose their posts right away.

ONE response per person per clue, please. More than that will be ignored, deleted, or ridiculed. You may not edit your post.

No bashing the Riddler . He's mean, and if you whine, he'll make the clues even harder to figure out. And, he'll bash you back, and make fun of you on Facebook, too.

The winner will be the first person to post the correct EXACT item the Riddler has selected.

Random, poorly thought out, and even silly answers are accepted. Sort of.

Theedz can't play, he gets migraines from thinking too hard. Ready for clue one?

Suggestion...only once will the Riddler say this. Think not that it's tricksy, think not that it's deception, all clues lead what you need to win the prize selection. Math and spelling, codes and ciphers, making you think; till the heat from your brain turns your face a pretty pink.

Don't over think this.

Clue 1) Easiest clues are always the early ones....
It's what we all want to beat and defeat, it's what will eventually determine zero or six feet.

I am soooo glad I was elimiated before it started...

Many wild guesses and we have only begun.
The riddler does this, just for the fun.
Only one will win, only one will prevail.
Wild guesses are to no avail.
Think it out, think it through.
Only then will your answers be true.

lots of luck nailed it, he got it quite right, his logic was flawless and his reasoning tight. Time is of the essence in our day to day life. One is of many times of good and of strife.

In my battle against time I have realized that quite a lot of it has gone by between clue #1 being solved and now... And during that time, there has been no hint of a second clue. I know the Riddler is probably busy doing whatever riddlers do, like fretting over the fact that Buick is the only thing that rhymes with Suick, and they sure ain't giving away one of those...

But come on, Riddler - time is of the essence. I haven't got all day. I haven't got ten minutes these days.... Tick tock, we're not getting any younger. Has anyvody seen the clue? I ain't seen the clue. Where's that confounded clue?

Time is of the essence in our day to day life. One is of many times of good and of strife.

One is more, one is less, one is not either as you must confess.

And that, EA, is two clues just for yous.

Time would run out with the answers some answered, one has what we need to move on like a dancer; it's just that the answer had to many answers in it, it exceeded the one answer to each clue, way over the limit. Not that it's reindeer we are looking to find, the Riddler would just can them and make roasts from the hind.

I've used up my guess and I still don't know
What the riddler is asking obscurely so
There are days in the week and weeks in a year
And now he's talking about eating a deer?

Time on the water and days in the boat
days spent in t-shirts or your warmest coat
season to season year to year
what the heck is it you're looking for here?!

Read all the clues ( and answers responded to), add up the gems there, quit flailing about wildly, picking answers out of the the air. One of you has it, the next step in the quest, but it's one word we are seeking, not all of the rest. And...it's plural.

EXCEPT for the s...we must be accurate, there's no 'good enough', the clues will lead someone to a treasure chest of stuff. Tell me the right word, the exact one I seek, we'll then get moving forward to solve this in less than two weeks!

I knew when I hit the button that my answer should have simply been "It's Fat Girl Time".

Darn the Riddler - I started over thinking the answer and it was to late after I submitted - no edits - Arrrrrrrrrrrrrgh! It was right there and it actually is! I think I'm going to go take a few cast's.

Have fun!

addict has it, he was right, up is where muskies look and then see the light. Now that we have the two items Riddler needs, lets look for the next shifting gears and get going full speed.

There are those who are whos, and those who are those, at the top of the heap are these seasoned Pros.

What do you consider the top of the heap? Tournament pro's? I'll go with that as my answer. But as far as I am concerned, the top of the heap are the grumpy old guides who have been there, done that, seen that, and worn out the t-shirt.

Lindners is right, Lindners the one, which could the next be, which is the one--

Think of the first, then the last, think of the present, and then of the past.

No more will badly spelled answers be right, watch out for punctuation, spelling has to be tight. The answer is Lindners, not possessive, that's true, it's not taking ownership, it's something they do.

Take the last three answers, the right ones, that is, and look at them together, that's the riddle solving biz. Then use two senses, what senses are there? Only a couple will work in the virtual air.

Look at the answers to the last few clues, those are the fast track to getting the news that you solved the Riddler's Riddle...

List them in order:
1)
2)
and 3)

Then you will see what the Riddler sees!

From the Fishouflauge website - partner page : http://www.fishouflage.com/partners/pro-staff/

Al Lindner - Host, Angling Edge
In 1970, three years after returning from Viet Nam, a 25-year-old Al Lindner first appeared on his own television show sharing his love and passion for the sport of fishing. The show was filmed and directed by his brother Ron Lindner, and included his young 10-year-old nephew, James Lindner. This first family of fishing has continued to inspire anglers on-air every year without fail ever since. The Lindners celebrate their 40th season on television when Lindner’s Angling Edge premiers Saturday January 2nd, 2010 at 10:00 AM Eastern time on Versus. With Al’s passion for all varieties of fish, you never know what Fishouflage pattern you may catch him in. Check local listings for Lindner’s Angling Edge schedule. For more information you can also visit www.anglingedge.com.
