Just got this in an email from Drifter:

Drifter Tackle Inc. is proud to announce that we have purchased Loke Lures from the Muliett family. We are building these famous lures using the same materials, fixtures and techniques used by John himself. We hope to honor his memory and carry on his legacy.

All Loke Lures are designed and handcrafted from the finest hand selected Honduras Mahogany and Jelutong stock available, along with other top of the line components. Our lures undergo multiple complex steps which are displayed in the high quality of the finished product. Here at Drifter Tackle we are dedicated to continuing the high standard for these handcrafted lures that the founder John himself set. Year by year, as the catch numbers increase so does the amount of happy and returning customers who swear by Loke lures. Multiple prized tournaments and tournament trail championships do not lie!!!

I got the same newsletter.

Also these have been in the works, known about and even being used now for a while. I've seen comparison posts too (original vs. Drifter)
