| I have a problem with my MinnKota auto pilot trolling motor. The motor will not shut off unless I put the speed indicator at 0,and it runs constantly when I hit the pulse or any other foot control.I took the unit off of my boat and looked for a shorted wire but could not find anything wrong.Any tips on this problem?Thanks,fishingfool/Paul | |

| A buddy of mine has one that turns to the left fine, but won't turn to the right. Anyone else have a similar problem? | |

| Paul and Shorty,
I can not tell either of you what is wrong with your motors but I can recommend a repair shop. Chuck Brod at Sportsmans Repair Shop in Moosine Wi just repaired my Power drive footpad. I sent it to him on a Monday and had it back in the mail on Thursday. Faster and better service than I have received from Minnkota themselves. Chuck is also THE MAN for reel repairs. [:halo:]
Good Luck, Fred J | |

| Try disconnecting the 'constant on' switch, see if it then is on momentary, if it is, replace the switch. If not, then send the foot pad in for repair, most of the Minn Kota repair centers are really fast. | |
