| My brother, dad and I have been coming up from Iowa to chase muskies since I can remember. Each summer we spend a couple of weeks in Minnesota to do some fishing. However lately I've been in a three year slump, putting nothing in the boat. I've watched first timers catch 50's and my dad and brother have their usual success. I graduated from college in December and muskie fever led me to take the first job offered to me in Minnesota.
After several trips out this summer and nothing to show for it I gave myself the nickname of Santiago from Ernest Hemingway's "The Old Man and the Sea".
Today, I broke the slump and put a PB 48" in the boat on Minnetonka. After a few pics she was released for the next fisherman to enjoy. Feels good to end the streak now I'm ready for the 50!

| Congrats on that fish. You have spent alot of hours chasing them and it paid off. Wish I would have been up there to see your face when your brother netted it. |
