Steve, What is the peak bloom time for this system? The reason I ask is that we might be heading up that way anytime after the 1st week of August - 1st week of September and would want to avoid it as much as possible. thanks.

Not the type this fellow is asking about. The water doesn't get real green because it's moving too much. Most of the color on both lakes is particulate. There's plenty of slimy stuff on the rocks and weeds some summers, though, and plenty of the weed growth will be gone by end of September.
