Sunday we were fishing on a lake up by Eagle River , when the sucker rod acted like it was caught on a weed. My nephew slowly pulled the sucker to the surface and when he got it up to where we could see, there were two muskies , each with one half of the sucker. We got everything ready to set the hook , and we ended up catching the larger fish , a 45". The smaller fish must have let go. Anybody have this happen to them? It was definatly a first for me.

I had similar event--1 Musky took the sucker and was swimming like crazy all over__ I slowly coaxed it up near the boat and a larger SKi was chasing it trying to get the t-Boned sucker from it----Really cool to see how aggressive they can be when feeding

Had two upper 30"s stalking a single 14" sucker held about 6' down by the side of the boat. Stalking means they were nosing the freaked-out sucker. The bait would sometimes curve up to the surface and drop back down again to the two. Both muskies ended up swimming away, never bit the sucker. Very cool in such clear water. Sometime later the sucker was hit so hard from a suprise fish that the bait was cut in two. I jigged the two pieces and that good guy muskie came up and slammed the meat again. Very cool.

Breutzy, was Your Nephew a little excited seeing both those fish on the end of his line? He makes me laugh talking to him at the swap meets. Very good kid he is. It would have been neat to have him get to land both fish. Good luck to you guys the rest of the season.

that will be one of my best muskie fishing memories for the rest of my life. my uncle forgot to mention that the rod broke on the hook set too. but seeing those 2 fish was just on the same sucker was just amazing.
