| I am thinking of hanging all my baits (to make some room in the house) out in an unheated garage over the winter. Has anyone ever had any issues with rubber baits etc... out in the cold? any problems anyone has had ? I am talking over 400 lures and don't want to have to replace them by making this mistake. |

Location: St.John, Indiana | I have always stored all my baits in my unheated garage. Here in Illinois/Indiana our season never closes, so I am out as long as there is open water.
I have had issues with My hard plastic baits expanding in the heat during summer, I have lost 4-5 baits. |

Location: Land of the Musky | Heat will destroy much faster than the cold. For me the cold destroys my blister packaging but not my baits... Nothing like Minnesota -20F to make PVC blister packaging crumble when you barley grab it  |

| If you keep a car in the Garage that will be used in the elements daily, This won't be a good thing, the hooks and split rings will start to rust especially after the car was driven through salt. |

Location: Oregon | Given what you pay for musky lures I wouldn't store mine in the garage. The cold, then warm, then cold, then wet, then cold, etc., can't be good on them.
