all i can say is throw it. i have alot of success with bobbies. greg is really making some good ones. i like the 9's and 12's usually weighted, but some time unweighted. i throw them alot in the fall on deeper breaks or even at suspended fish.. i usually make a few good rod pumps and get the lure down and let her set a bit and she will rise slow(the weighted ones, and the heavier you make them the slower they rise) usually i go a 4 pumps then a 5 count then 2 pumps and a 3 count and work it back to the boat that way.. and usually they will pound them on the slow rise of the bait.. you can use the weighted suick's this way too. its killer in the fall... i usually weight my own too and sometime's i will put a thin coat of devcron 2-ton and turn the bait, makes it a little harder for them to dig their teeth into the wood. makes the bait slide into their mouth. also i will dip the rear hook into a flo-pink/orange heat paint and it also a good trigger too.. the rear hook does a wiggle when the bait is ripped. you can weight the bait yourself or get the jo-musky weights which is cool for changing the bait from regular to a suspending model....bill

here is one of greg's custom color's that he did for me
