I do fish Indiana lakes but I want a pig.
What do you think. Again i will only have 4 days.
Thanks
Steve

Ok thanks but that is a long drive from NW Indiana. I only have 4 days. I would go maybe 5 to 6 hours.

Steve, I've personally seen 3-50"+ fish come out of your back yard this year alone. Do some homework and put in some time and you shouldn't have a problem. That, or I'd say Canada side of LSC

I was fishing next to a guy while he landed a 51" on your lake. 2 others were in the chain itself but came from the same lake on the same day. Also, there was a 51.5" found dead in banning this summer. Was also on another lake this late spring when a father and son boated a 52". Seems every year they get bigger and the fishing gets better. Webster...... don't even waste your time in that ses pool.

Why leave fish to find fish? The Webster---Tippy ---and Barbee Chains have LOTS of 50 inch plus fish swimmin in 'em----plus no looooong drive to boot. You just gotta be on the water-----Good Luck guys------ Jobu

I would love to take a 4 day trip to LSC in the fall. My father and I have been fishing the indiana lakes for a long time; before the pressure. Fishing, for us, has been extremely tough over the last few falls. If I had the time, and wanted to improve my odds of boating a 50+incher I would head north to St. Clair. I am saying this knowing I caught a 51 and 1/2 this spring in indiana, and the fact that we have boated many 45-48 inchers in past after turnover on our indiana lakes. I hope and pray that this fall is different, but with the abundant forage and fishing pressure, fall fishing has been tough for us the past few seasons. Statistically speaking for a shot at a 50 incher I would go north to improve my odds!

No doubt--from where you are at LSC is the place to go. Green bay would be another trolling option--but you can go days without any action. LSC--gives you both the trolling and casting option---It's my new favorite place after visiting it last year--I am closer to Green bay but LSC is worth the extra drive for me.

The guides/charter captains didn't cause this... Word got out as muskie fishing grew in popularity, and the health of the fishery improved at the same time. Now peopel are expoiting it.

I am sure it will go through a rise and fall just like Mille Lacs.

As I am sure many can relate, when your home water goes through this type of change with dramatically increased presure, it is hard not to reflect on the way "it used to be".
