| Sworrall and Jason haven't gotten home yet so here's the "unofficial" report from Cass.. Some of the guys fished this morning and I don't have the results from them.
Throughout the week a total of 15 fish were boated. Eight/8 of the 15 were over 40. Esox Maniac broke a 5 year long drought and I think one person caught their first muskie.
The largest was Jason's 48 and a fatty with no tail that I got that was 441/2"-443/4" without a tail, add on for the tail and you have a 48-49" incher.
There were numerous 50's+ sighted. And yes as stated on another post one of them scared the crap out of me when it came roaring up on a tinsel tail I was throwing.
Numerous pike were caught and some were in the mid to upper 30's. Divani you would have loved it....[8)]
Thanks to Mark Stanky for cooking up the pike...they were awesome, and to Sworrall for teaching me how to fillet the "y" bones out.
A side note, on Sat. Mark Stanky and Mike Koepp from Mike's Extreme caught about a 33" pike that was still bleeding from the puncture wounds from were one huge Muskie tried to eat it..That fish was really beat up. I would like to see the muskie that wanted to eat a 33" pike..wow.
As far as I know the only casualty of the trip was that I got hooked and took a trip to the Bemidji hospital to get the hook removed.... 5/O-4x VMC's make a nice hole.[:((]
Seemed everyone had a great time...Special thanks to "Shady" for setting up the trip.
More to come later when Sworrall get's the pictures posted.
