As you might have just witnessed, there was someone who has entered 2 muskys photos that were suposivly caught of Potato Lake, in park rapids, mn.....I was waiting for this to happen again since i First saw him post a picture last year. All I can add is that I have a cabin on Potato, and has been in the family for over 30 years, and we have yet to catch, or even see a musky. You think we would have seen one cruzing the shallow's or finning in the lake over the past 30 years.

Although I think that this would be an unbelivable musky fishery it were ever to be stocked. Its a deep rock structured lake with sand, fltas mixed in. Also has very good cabage. The forage would be unreal to with having Cisco, and smalleys in there as well.

Why get wound up about it? He wants you to know he caught a few decent fish. He doesn't want you to know exactly where. Heck, Potato Lake = Lake X, eh? I'm inclined to believe the "what" he caught them on, and the "when" implied by the dark background.

What's your name and where's your cabin? My wife's family lives on the south end. Did you see the camera flashes the last few nights? That lake is almost as nice as Bass and Duck and Mud.

Possibly, but only ONE near Park Rapids since that was listed as the location.

Head about 5 miles NE of potato to find those fish. Super secret lake no one knows about. This thread could have avoided if the lake was simply listed as "X".

a) just checked my state map for the directionally confused...you're right...and wrong...I'm so confused and sometimes I can't tell a tuber from a letter.
II) fished an actual secret lake today, new to me anyway: saw 3, caught none, pegged a 20" smallie tho. you know, "Daisy Lake on a nightcrawler." got schooled at golf by an octogenerian and got burgers at the Royal too. pretty #*^@ good day.
3) we'll be back to flinging topwaters on Potato tomorrow if you'd like to stop by. but then again, perhaps you don't share my sense of humor, which was of course, the point.

We (collectively) have no sense of humor we are aware of....

Paraphrased VERY loosely from MIB.

Nice golf courses in the PR area, I like the Bear's Den on Long Lake. Not as busy as some of the better kept courses around there. Lots of poison ivy in the rough, good for folks who can hit it straight.
