Haven't spent enough time there to catch a fish, but been there a few times. Very clear and deep lake- access is just north off hiway 5, turn left after about 1/3 mile. Great bullrushes, nice rocky flats especially a big one on the right after you go north through the buoys. Island at the north end gets attention. I see more fish there at the surface "sunning/lounging" themselves, oblivious to baits. They all appeared to be about 35"-40"-that may be that Shoepak strain- don't know if they're still in there. I think it's a lake that presents some good long line trolling opportunities. Good luck and let us know how it works for ya.

Early morning or low light until after dark, very clear! Like stated above mid 30's to low 40's fish.

Pound the reeds. A buddy and I caught five fish there this same week several years back doing just that. Spinnerbaits and bucktails cast a couple feet into the reeds. There really aren't too many areas of the lake that don't hold fish. No big fish in the lake, but it's still fun.

Fish the deep weeds. Got a chunky 41.5" and a 39" in mid-August throwing Bulldawgs over the deep weed humps. I wouldn't get to hung up on the shoreline weed lines since they are endless. Find deep weeds on the humps that top out in 9'-13' and the fish will be there. The fish will also suspend off the bars that top out very shallow. Bulldawgs and Depth Raiders have been my best baits on Baby.

baby is a gorgeous lake the homeowners are doing things right there, most are not ripping up the shoreline weeds/reeds,,,,Baby has one of the highest shoepack leftover genetics still traceable in its fish which means their purestains but with some degree of shoepac leftover genetics we had a professor from the U of Minn come talk to us about it,,it means on average the fish are smaller here but a couple 50's a year still get rumored caught,,,,your trading size for scenery I love the lake
