Im doing this for a friend... After I did a Calcutta 400TE all by myself, how hard could Curado 300E be???

I took it apart, gave all parts a good cleaning with dawn, WD40, and non-chlorinated brake cleaner... Also noticed that the AR Pawl was missing??? The friend contacted Shimano about this and is awaiting reply...

I greased and oiled in the all right places... Got it all back together... Reeled the handle... man... its CLICKING like hell!!! Clicks less as I loosen up the cast control... What the heck??? I popped open the left side plate... no clicking... everything was SMOOTH like a Shimano should be... I couldnt figure out why it was clicking!!! It feels like it has a clicker and is on... but theres no clicker...

Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated!!!

CK the left side cover bearing, somtimes if a bearing is not clean it will make a ticking noise. Also make sure the drag washer is seated down tight in the main gear. What about the drag star wheel klicker is that in right ???? If it still ticks, take it apart and put back together from the SCHEMATICS.
GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!!!!

Okay... I've removed both spool bearings and am currently soaking them in a bowl of WD-40 overnight...

Thing here is that when I replaced the spool after removing the bearings, its still doing the same thing!!!

Remove the spool... its VERY quiet... Replace the spool but get the left plate clearly out of the way... VERY quiet...

What gives??? Is there a trick or something I may have overlooked with the left plate???

I had my brother here earlier and asked him to listen to the fully assembled reel... He immediately said it was something in the left plate... He did this and that what I already did... and there was something amiss when it comes to the left plate...

I have looked over the schematics repeatedly and couldnt see anything missing...

Will let the spool bearings soak in WD-40 overnight then will air-blow it then spray brake cleaners all over, letting it soak for overnight, then go from there...
