I would say it would not fit..well. It will go on and you can screw it down, but you will not get enough threads on it for the nut to hold, and you will end up stripping the end of the threaded shaft.
The REVO handles are just a tad thicker than the older styles and current 5000-6000 series round reels.

| They are thicker, but I went to a machine shop and had them counterbored to 93 thousand. They work great and it only cost me a couple bucks. |

I placed a double paddle Revo Toro handle on my 6501C4 with no issues.
Though that is possible, it leaves the nut with only two threads instead of four to absorb the horizontal forces. The Revo Toro handle(Part 1144212, or 1144225) is one millimetre thicker than the handle designed for the classics, part nr: 22031

| Like has been said, it works fine, FOR NOW. It will not hold up with only a few threads holding on. |

Location: Yahara River Chain | If you will notice I said my 6501C4 reels. I hold my rod in my dominate hand. Some clowns actually cast the rods with their right arm and switch hands to retrieve. Believe it or not when they get a hit, because they are not using their dominate hand grab the crank with their right hand and help set. That would put a lot of pressure on the reel crank and I've seen it where a person doing that bent his reel handle. No wonder you guys need to take some metal off so that doesn't happen. |

Do you always crank with your dominate hand with a spinning outfit?
Right side cranks reels "evolved" because of right hand thread. Now they have developed the use of counter clockwise thread and placing the crank on the proper side without the problem of coming undone. So friend come out of the dark ages. |

Location: Denmark | Being a clown is a honest trade over here. I crank with my dominate hand(right), as the clown I am. I am proud of it, Why, because it shows that I have been pulling Esox long before you guys left your fathers balls. |

| Why is it that people who reel with their left hands always seem to want to put down those who reel with their right hand? IMHO if you think it really makes any difference you're sadly mistaken, it's just what you get used to.
When it comes to preasure on the handle and handle nut I don't think it's as much about the hook set as it is the constant cranking on the reel, especially if you're retrieving a hard pulling bait. |

Location: Denmark | To be honest, I still jerk with my right hand ;)... really it doesn't matter. Except that we have more models to chose from, when selecting a new reel. |

Location: Eagan, MN | I've only been fishing muskies for 20 years so maybe I missed the dark ages. Every baitcaster I've ever bought has had a retainer clip which locks the nut to the handle, so the direction of the thread has nothing to do with anything.
And to answer your question, when I fish for bait I hold the rod in my mouth and crank with my non-dominant foot. |

LOL So what then? You mumble "fish on" when you get a fish? I hope you don't have athlete's foot. That would be worst that those fish having VHSv. |

I got 6 of them from some guys on here and other places just before the start of this season, and had to have them machined so the nut fits better. I tried it on one reel last year without machining the handle and the nut came off when a 42" Musky hit my Dawg. |
