Location: Madison, WI | Greetings from north of the border!
This is the first fishing trip I've ever taken where I had access to the net, so I figured I'd better post a report. This was the 3rd full day of our trip so far, and we have fished Cedar and Cliff so far. Trolled Cedar yesterday with no muskies to show for it, but did get accidental 37 and 34 inch pike on a triple D. Fished Cliff the other 2 days. Fished there for lakers 2 days ago, and caught 9 of them. Fished Cliff again today, and caught 2 lakers for dinner before switching to muskies. Got a 32 incher on a depth raider, and an accidental 27 inch walleye on a triple D. That's the 3rd walleye I've caught on Cliff (screwed around for about an hour on the eyes a couple days ago), and the smallest walleye was 20 inches, so I'm thinking it has great trophy walleye potential.
Off to bed here soon. Planning to fish either Cliff or Wabaskang tomorrow. Will keep you all posted.
Enjoy the pics,
"Jackpot" John Schroeder

Location: Minnesota Metro | I love the color of those deep troutwater lake walleye. I caught a 27 on Pipestone 4 years ago that was just beautiful when muskie fishing. Good luck. |

Location: Yahara River Chain | Great to here from you Jackpot. I hope things are well for you on the S.S. Mickelson. I also hope that Mark hasn't tip the boat over in a "Bill Dance" moment.
I will continue to check this out and look forward to more of your trip.

Location: Madison, WI | Hey guys,
Here are some baits that Tyler (wolftackle84) painted for me. At the top is the black and silver triple d that got the 27 inch walleye. Then a depthraider, 10 inch Jake, and 7 inch slammer all in holoform cisco.
Fished Wabaskang yesterday for a few walleye and small pike under tough conditions. Back to Cliff today.

Location: Madison, WI | Here's a pic of a 43 incher I got at 7:40pm today on Cliff. Was trolling a 9 inch grandma, black and silver. Was holding the rod in my hands and ripping it, bouncing the lure off rocks on a wind blown point in 14 feet of water.
Fish is being held by my fishing partner, Mark Mickelson, as I am still on a 10 pound lifting restriction since my surgery, and I figured this fish would exceed 10 pounds
(Note: This fish appears to have some previous fin damage as seen in the pic. Also appeared to be missing one of the lower fins).
Anyway, thanks for letting me borrow your grandma, Gerard. (You might never get her back)

Location: Madison, WI | Report for Saturday Aug 27th.
Fished Cliff Lake today...
Caught a small 32 incher on a lumina black 9 inch curly sue.
Lost another small fish on a curly sue. Had a 40+ incher close the gap on a jackpot, attack it, and completely miss the lure by about 2 feet. Total for the day. 1 fish caught, 1 fish lost. About a dozen other follows, but most of them small.
Hoping for a better report tomorrow,
"Jackpot" John Schroeder
