| Hey guys, just found out that I'll be in Minneapolis (across the street from Mall of America) from Nov 7-12. I saw a website that talked about how great the sucker fishing was last year in early November. My question is, are the lakes usually ice free at this time? Would I be able to hire a guide around the twin cities for Muskie fishing if the lakes are normally ice free? Any info or help would be great. If Muskie fishing is out I'd be up for Pike or really anything else.
Thanks from Ohio! |

| Yes you can bet that lakes will still be open at the time. There are plenty of guides in the twin cities depending on which lake you would like to fish. |

| For sure this is a great time to fish! Lots of options for sucker fishing in the Metro, and even better on some lakes in Wisconsin that are a close drive to the Metro area where you can use two rods and still cast while soaking suckers. I would reccomend checking out www.twincitiesmusky.com Ryan will put you on some fish.
Good luck! |

| The late season bite on the mpls lakes is a blast. I would recommend Josh Borovosky, www.promuskieguide.com . He'll do a great job of putting you on some fish. Good luck. |

Location: Maple Grove, MN | The Muskies bite right up until ice-up, which is usually around Thanksgiving.
And you don't need live bait either - unless you like sitting a lot. I caught the one by my login name on a plastic bait two days before the lake froze over. We had to bust ice for over 100 ft from the landing just to get on the lake that day. Slow rolled spinner baits and crank-baits can also be very affective right up until ice-up. |

| Plus everybody is deer hunting so you'll have the lakes #*^@ near to your self. |
