Location: Contrarian Island | Thought I'd put this up here as too often threads on here turn into bashing..well here is a product that has held up time and time again.....I have been using Gerry's double bladed bucktails for years and some of my biggest fish have been fooled by his blades...I'd guess in my boat alone we have put 150 or more fish in the net w his baits....
on a recent trip to LOTW I caught all 13 of my fish on his bucktails and 11 of them with 6 over ~45 came on one particular bait....so obviously they are made with quality components and hold up to lots of fish...he will make you any custom creation you want from double 8s to double 12s and he has a wide assortment of blades and flashabou...he turned around a recent order in no time and all were made exactly how I wanted...
his prices are quite a bit less than what you'd find by the big names in the stores ... drop him a line if you are looking ...he's great to deal with...

Location: Lake of the Woods, Morson, Ontario | Couldn't agree more about Gerry and his "girls." He got me a couple of bucktails super quick this summer and one of them promptly landed a fish near 47" that woudn't take any other offerings a couple days prior. Another of his bucktails was my best big fish casting lure in 2010, with its first fish being a 48".
I was nearly in shock the other night when my stay-loc snap opened up on a cast and I realized I was bringing in nothing but a leader after my fave Gerry's girl plopped down on a shallow boulder point. With the wind and approaching storm, I couldn't search for it. I went back the next afternoon to have another look, but there was just enough stain in the water to make it too tough to see amongst the boulders.
Of course I had a spare in the boat so all was not lost..I just need to break it in now.
I'll be in touch with Gerry this winter to have many more tails made up before it's time to cast again in 2011. |

I emailed him back and forth a couple times asking him some questions and he always got right back to me with very helpful information. Prices were great, shipping was what it cost, and turnaround was quick. When I need some more bucktails I will be letting Gerry know.
Oh yeah, it just happens that I haven't used 10's a LOT the last two years, but his baits work very well and are built well.
