Location: Minneapolis | I will be going to school at UWSP this fall. All I know is that there is a few musky lakes and a musky club in the area. I'm looking for someone who would like to fish during the month of september or could point me in the general direction.
...So I know if I will need to bring my musky gear to school w/ me! haha
Feel free to shoot me an email
Thanks in advance. |

| I went to Point for 5 years and graduated in '08.
You will not regret fishing under the spillway near Al tech County Park just south of town on the west side of the river. The fish seem to stack up there in Sept. You can even fish from shore and have luck there. Ive seen quite a few mid 40'' fish caught there.
If you get really motivated, you can wade out to the middle and cast right up in the rapids. Hang on if you hook one though. Last time I did that, my buddy hooked a fat 47 and the fish was 100 yards down the river in the blink of an eye and we had to bounce off rocks after it. All worth it though seeing the jealous faces from shore holdin that beast up.
We always used smaller rapalas and had luck but Im willing to bet a shallow invader would be deadly. |
