| I bought a 2005 ranger 619 a few months ago and I have some questions about the Bilge pump. The automatic bilge comes on just fine but it will not turn off unless I manually turn it off. I openend the hatch in the floor and noticed it there is sludge etc in there. I plan to clean everything up but have a couple of questions before putting everything back together. Neither of the bilge pumps are hard mounted to the boat. They are just floating in the bottom of compartment. Is that normal or are they supposed to be mounted? Also, is the black box the float switch?
