Your only other option in Southern MN would be Zumbro near Rochester, otherwise river systems.

Thumper,

To be honest, there is potential for them to be there, but I have no experience with the body of water so I can't be of any help there. If there is, it is my guess that there is only a small population, but I guess you never know.

There has been a movement to stock muskies in Pepin in recent years that hasn't panned out yet. It would be an incredible fishery if it ever happened. I think at this point you'd probably be wasting your time there.

Very limited in Southern MN. Not that there isn't the lakes just can't get the support for the stocking in many of the lakes. One down here had a shad population that'll reach for miles. The largest of them have no preditors as the northerns are not that big in the lake. Chapter 54 is always working on additional waters to help create muskie angling opportunities in southern MN. Let the DNR know you would like to see more in the southern part of the state.

supposedly there are some in the river where the vermillion river enters in ,,never been there,,do know of a guy who caught a legit 30 lb pike there and says hes seen muskies,,Talking to a dnr biologist a couple years ago he said they speculated this would be an area that they might use but that was in theory only,,
