| Mr Myers brought up production rate and it got me thinking about how many baits people have painted in one day? I bet people like Stan Durst have some unbelievable numbers. So- what is the most fully painted plugs anyone has done in a day? I personally have finished around 40 baits in one full day of painting. How about you guys? Just curious. |

Location: Pigeon Forge TN. | Well. when I was painting commercially, The most I have painted from blank to finish (Ready for clear coat booth) was 240 and the color was Tenn. Shad ( the order was for 250 of each color at the time) I had 10 left in the tray waiting for the final paint shot but 8 hours was enough work and I stopped there. You have to be really set up for a production run when you attempt that stuff.
125 is what I can do now depending on the color combo as I am not set up like I used to be.
Too bad I am getting old.

Location: South-Central PA | I do layers of epoxy between layers of paint to get the depth that I want on most lures so most paint jobs take a few days for me.
If I was just painting and not layering with epoxy, I could see doing 100 in a day. Especially if i was only doing something like 10 different paint schemes of 10 lures each.

| Depends on the pattern, I have not painted any of my baits many times. But a few colors that i have gotten comfortable with i can probably whip out pretty quick. I rarely paint more than 12 a day. Part time hobby, no need for long hard days. Although there are exceptions. |

Location: Freedom, WI | Most ever somewhere around 150, never again. I usually do between 40 and 80 at a time (depends on the colors as some colors do not dry fast) but not usually continuously. ADHD keeps me doing other things for a while, it helps with letting the paint dry also. I have 2 rotating racks that hold 48 each and that is another reason to keep it near those numbers. |
