My fishing buddies were fishing a lake tonight I am hitting tomorrow. They said the water was much less clear than normal with lots of chopped up and floating pieces of weeds. They didn't see a thing and so I'm trying to figure out what to do. Anyone have any ideas while I'm still up tonight?

Thanks,
Brian

Skip the topwater lures, or find an area where the wind has blown the floating weeds away. I'd fish a bright colored bucktail in those conditions.

You can troll with rod tips submeged in the water. the tips will collect the weeds and you can find a way to just grab the weeds off the tip without lure leaving the water. Unless in wisconsin

Move to fishing suspendos using jigs/live bait straight down next to the boat. Assume the thermocline is your structure, find pods of roving baitfish and fish those pods.
