Location: Maplewood, MN | How often do you re-tie to your leaders? I had caught 2 skis this season without re-tying. The other day right at the start of the cast I bust off a bucktail... Needless to say I'll be re-tying often now. |

Location: Bemidji, Lake Vermilion | Be sure to check the eyes/guides on your rod. 90% of the time I've found there is some hairline crack in one if baits start flying off. Retie is a good idea still. One way to check is take a dry Qtip and drag it around your guides, if it catches whatsoever get it replaced. |

You cant be serious.....just tye on a leader with 100 pp and go catch fish all year and don't worry about checking your line?.....that is just bad advice.
Check line, leader, hooks after every fish! (and several times daily) You will regret it if you don't!
Sometimes I'll re-tye 2-3 times daily - especially fishing rocks. |

Location: Columbus, Georgia | Every time I go out on the water I retie all my leaders. I also check the first few feet of line. Typically there will be a fray somewhere and the line needs to be cut above that point.
