Location: Lebanon,Mo | Somethings not right there...I shipped a 9.9 mercury tiller with a 6gal tank on a pallet from Missouri to Maine and was around 200.00.You may want to check on pallet pricing?? I think the rates are cheaper and you have guidelines on measurements and one person has to be able to move it to qualify for the cheaper rate from what i remember..

Location: Blaine, MN | If you are in the TC metro, I can ship it out of my warehouse, give me a weight and a delivery zip and I can get you a quote... even have boxes and packaging material here to ensure it ships safely... UPS store is a rip off, I get better rates based on volume discounts and such. |

Location: NW WI | When I sold a front mount TM I simply "wrapped" it in a cardboard box. Take one big box, a box cutter knife and packaging tape and start cutting the box down to fit around the TM. Use tape liberally and where needed. You can also use to boxes (1 top/1 bottom) and do the same as above and overlap the ends of the boxes. Really any cardboard will work....doesn't have to be a box.
If you don't have boxes, go to a local liquor store or beverage center. They usually have boxes that are strong and will give you for free. Or go to a UHaul store and buy boxes from them. A wardrobe box should be plenty big.
Then find a place that ships UPS or FedEx but not a UPS Store or FedEx Store. Lots of places have signs in their window that say "we ship UPS". The UHaul store where you bought the box might do it for you if you ask.
To get approx. shipping costs you can go to UPS.com or FedEx.com to get estimated shipping costs.
I shipped a cable drive TM from northern WI to TX doing it this way and their was no problem at all. TM's are tough SOB's..you don't have to put bubble wrap on them....just cover it iin cardboard and you're good to go. |

Location: Uxbridge Ontario | Go to your closest Grey house bus line. They should do it for less than the price of a ticket. I beleive they have a shipping rate too these days. They just put it in their storage deck and the guy has to pick it up at the Grey hound station here him.
That is usually the best and cheapest way to ship larger objects. |
