Friend of mine with a 50# (on a certified chatillon scale, net-weighed) caught and released on Georgian Bay this past week...wow....don't often, if ever, see a summer 50lber!

Yeah, lucky man.....ironic thing is that I had just fished the Bay with limited success for the week and left with my family on the morning of the day that he caught it. He was out for a cruise with his girlfriend and her friend but stopped to quickly fish one of his "spots". Timing is everything!!!!

Georgian Bay and all its Delta systems is amazing, but sure can be tough at times. I love the French....

You have better side profile of that fish? Awesome catch for sure.

I'm a huge fan of the French myself...go every year to the upper and occasionally to the Lower/Delta.  I'm sure more pics will come out over time....

This is botherin me a bit. Can someone help me out with the second pic, the release pic. It looks like something from "Alien" or half a fish. My brain can't decipher what I'm seein. Is that the head on the left with the rest of the fish going out of the picture on the right? Sorry to be so slow.
