I had bought this graph roughly 4 yrs ago, absolutely love it.
problem is....
I go to turn it on the other morning, nothing happens,
figuring no power is going to it, I mess with the wires, nothing,
I finally unplug the cords out of the back, then plug them in and it turns on.
but.... it starts gliching, locking up. so I do a reset on it,
this time, when the screen fires up, its blue, and theres little deer and fish symbols floating across the screen, almost like a video game.
it would stay on for a bit, then turn off.

has anyone had this happen before?
what has been anybodys experience with dealing with lowrance and getting their graph back in a timely matter?
no need to sling mud, PM me if you have something harsh to say,
Im just looking for some feedback on what route to take.
the sad thing is that I never sent in the warranty card, ( bad on my part) but surely its not covered anymore.
Ive been told that some graphs they cant fix, and end up offering you a discount on a new HDS, problem is I dont want an HDS model, I love my 27c, it serves me greatly, and I absolutely cant afford to spend an arm and a leg getting it fixed, nor buying new. I spent $1200 graph and chip 4 yrs ago figuring it would last 10+ yrs.

anybody have any insight as to what I should do? what can I expect? am I out a graph for the summer for them to fix it and get it back?

Anybody ever have any recent issues with lowrance and how theyre handling fixing or replacing older units?
I had talked to Navico, the place in Tulsa that fixes them, from the sounds of it,
they do a bench test, they do not have spare parts to fix anything that might be broken, they hook it up and run a series of program tests.
if that doesnt fix it, they simply cut you a deal on an HDS model.

Is there anybody that goes into depth of fixing sonar/gps units?
such as a power button going bad, or the light going out on a unit?
Its hard to believe that its so cut and dry that once your unit flaws of any kind, they cut you a deal on a new one.
