A few of you may remember a post I made a few weeks back regarding the replacement lip for a Super Shad Rap of mine. The lure itself holds sentimental value and I wanted to put a replacement lip back on it, then eventually it'll be retired.
Well James from Tackle Industries was quick to respond and very generously sent me a replacement lip that was almost a direct fit for my old lure. In addition to that, I got one of his new Super Cisco Raps, which I told him I'd be sure to test out and report back on how I felt about it.
A few days later I received the lure in the mail and the replacement lip:

Without much work I had the new lip on the old bait and it looks and swims great. Very happy with how this turned out.

This past weekend I snuck out and fished heavy on Saturday and half of the day Sunday. I fished a small river and cast the new Super Cisco for several hours producing a really good follow early on and moving another later in the day.

The lure is a keeper, that's for sure. In fact, I'm putting together another order right now to get a few different colors. It just works, swims true and depending on the retrieve I averaged about a 6' depth. Really has some great flash generated by the action of the bait.
The only downside about this is that, if I had done my part, I would have a great photo of a big girl that ate the Super Cisco.
James is a great fellow to deal with, if you want an honest opinion, I say that this is a great little bait and you won't be disappointed.

i have bought of a few of these. The hooks seem a little weak, and mine developed a hole in the tail that made them sink, but both are easy fixes. i use mine all the time. the colors are great.

I love these baits. Love the action and durability. Only problem I have is I don't see that color on the website and I want one.

That color in the above picture is an exclusive "Sexy Cisco" for Bass Pro and you can get it on their website. There are actually two of those on the Bass Pro website. The chrome and regular "Sexy Cisco" colors.

According to the tracking number, my order should be here early next week. I'll be fishing July 1 & 2, I'm looking forward to it because we were moving fish on the crank baits. I'm looking forward to seeing these finishes too. Thanks.

Rem308, are you cheating on me? I like the shad pattern too. May have to try one.

Haha, I throw a LOT of different baits. I just want to hook a big musky on one of these like I boated w/ your gill crank:
