Aqua-Vu Micro. I tested this little pocket camera last winter, and the word is not now; it will be available soon!!
How many times have you been watching the sonar, see something like baitfish, structure, gamefish, etc, and want to know what those are? Take the Mirco out of your pocket, deploy the acorn sized camera simply and fast, and take a look. Wind the camera back up, turn the unit off, and pop it back in your pocket.
Cell phone size, full color, sunlight viewable, rechargeable lithium ion battery and powerful with excellent automatic IR lighting for after dark, this unit revolutionized my mobile ice fishing this year adding simple portability to hole hopping late ice. I wish I had this little camera earlier!
Watch for a video this week with the camera in use on open water.
Our good friend Pro Walleye angler Tommy Skarlis talks about the Micro:

We are super excited to get these units out into the field and see not only angler response but all the interesting usage ideas guys will come up with! Anyone have the guts to attach their Micro to a sucker rig?

Aqua-Vu Micro Open Water Test
Keith and I spent some time looking over an area we fish for walleyes checking reality against what we thought was there. Finding one of our historic best cribs had disintegrated was as interesting as finding a large school of gills where we didn't expect them to be.
This little camera will get allot of use this season.

Will Cabela's be selling these when they come out (I have quite a few gift cards for there and this would be a nice unit to have)? Also, is there a "video out" port so the unit could be hooked up to a dvr? It would be nice to have the option to record the video (especially when that muskie not only eats the succker on that rig, but also the camera).

Here is a link to the website. It states they are out of stock on them. But you cansee more info on it. Looks like a new toy for anyone to use not just ice fishing.

Well, I am assuming from the lack of mentioning a "video out" port on their website, the micro does not have one.

Oh man, new app idea (if this isn't what you're doing already). Get a camera that you can plug into your "smart" phone and then have an app that you can download that will allow you to see what's on the camera. Sweeeetness for a nice simple unit. You heard it here first. Feel free to send me royalties.

Better yet, have the Micro equipt with Bluetooth capabilites and have an app that can link through the Bluetooth into the video feed of the Micro. This app will allow you to record the video and the other guys in the boat can see on their smartphones what you are looking at without them looking over your shoulder. I would actually pay an extra $100 for a micro unit that had this capability

Will the larger retailers (e.g., Cabelas, Bass Pro, etc.) carry these Micros and if so, what is the time frame for which they will be availible? Thanks!

Wait till you see the video Sworall shot of one of the Lake Vermilion reefs this evening, you won't believe what the base of this reef looked like using the Aqua-Vu Micro, awesone camera! Stay tuned for the video coming tonight or tomorrow!
