Location: Richfield, MN | I was unable to get out this weekend due to a grad party on Saturday out of town and then my fishing partner backed out at the last second.
I found out on Friday night out bass fishing on my own I cannot handle my trolling motor with my legs. I had double knee replacement 2.5 years ago that went bad, I have been on oral pain meds since then have become immune to ever drug conceivable.
So tomorrow I am gettting a pain pump placed in my spinal cord in hopes this will work!! But to do this I had to be taken off all drugs and be drug free 5 days before surgery tomorrow!!!!!!
Found out the hard way Friday that I am a wuss without the meds!!!!
SO how did everyone do on the MN opener this weeknd. If you have pics for me to see please post them as I am totally bummed I could not get out. It will be at least 10 days to 2 weeks before I can get back out on the lake so I am really freaking out!!! Friday was my first time out in my boat this season!!!!! Dod really good catching bass but not the same as going muskie fishing.!!
Please post pics even if you are not from MNjust so I know that muskie fishing is actually going on and that there are muskies in the lakes!!!
Thanks a ton

Pretty common here, we are averaging about 1 a trip so far this year. They don't get as big as a real pike that ones a big one at 34.5". |

Location: Antioch, IL | Hey Muddy, I feel you pain. Almost removed my right index finger on Saturday. I got very lucky, but will be out of commission for a while. Never push you luck with power tools. A stupid decision almost cost me a lot more than the piece of wood I was trying to salvage.
I saw a post on here somewhere about EsoxFly busting himself up as well. Man, It's not been a good year so far. Hope everything goes smooth and your can bounce back quickly. I'll tip a beer back for ya (and one for EsoxFly, you get well too). |

Location: Maple Grove, MN | Mike,
You didn't miss much in the metro. The post-frontal conditions made fishing very tough on the area lakes. There weren't many fish caught at all.
There is a lot of season left and the best fishing is yet to come.

Location: Richfield, MN | Mn is messed up. =103 one day 2 days later 65!!! Go figure.
Gonna have the pump put in permenantly as the the testing is going awesome. SO that means I will be out of commission for another 100 days for sure. But hopefully when all is said and done I should be better than I have been in years!!!
Hope everyone is enjoying the season!!! I do enjoy seeing the pics on this site. At least some are out there having fun!!!
Thanks to all. Pain sucks!!!
