I have a LCX-37c on my boat. Sometimes I get a signal that says the GPS module is not responding. It is inconsistent, sometimes it quickly comes back, other times it takes awhile. Any comments/suggestions that would solve this would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Tom

The GPS pucks, the LGC-3000 don't last forever. The symptoms you're having are typical of a gps puck going bad. If you check your status page, watch the signal. If the signal is up and down and not all connecting, I'm guessing the puck is going bad. Double check your connections that all are firmed up and tight.

If problems continue, call Lowrance and send it in.

Yep. Every puck I've ever had go bad said that first.

There is also a good chance that you have a bad resister on an end of your backbone. Another possible cause could be low voltage going to the puck. Don't buy a new puck before you check for other possible problems. The pucks do not go bad that quickly. Check for connection problems. I had the same issues and tried 3 different pucks and it turned out to be a bad resister. The easy answer is to blame the puck is bad but often the problem is in the back bone.

Southshore is right, the power to the puck could definitely be another possibility. Unfortunately I've seen pucks go bad in less than a season and I've seen some last for years, no telling when they go bad.
