| Do any of you use this rod/reel combo for tossing big rubber baits? If so how does it work. Also what would the ideal reel be for tossing big rubber? Thanks for the help |

Location: In a shack in the woods | I have 2 curados one on the jerk and another on a steel 20. My big dawg has a 400te because they can handle the bigger baits better. I use the curados for jerkbaits, small bucktails, and topwaters. My big dawg/te combo gets used for mag dawgs, pounders, dbl 12's and larger, and popping spinnerbaits through cabbage. The extra backbone works great for that. |

| curados will handle the fish but not the big lures... youll wear it out quickly pulling heavy lures |

| The 300 will be fine for big rubber. If you have ever thrown big rubber you will notice they retreive very easily. I am not sure why the thought is if the lure weights alot it pulls in hard.
I have a 300 on a Tooth Tamer Jaw Breaker i use for big rubber. Works out great, and very pleased |
