Location: Stevens Point, WI | You won't regret the Elite-5x because the color unit is nice, makes it easier to decipher detail but the Mark-5x will do just fine. I run two HDS-8's and have the DownScan feature with that and it's black and white, which I feel is fine. I've played with a Elite-5x a buddy of mine has and I personally don't think I'd spend the extra. Now if you were comparing a black and white sonar unit versus a color unit like a HDS, the color unit would be hands down the way to go, but in this instance, I think you'll find the extra money won't make that much difference in this instance. |
