Location: Coon Rapids, MN | I'll be up on lake Vermillion for the Minnesota opener this year. I normally stick to the metro lakes early in the year but didn't want to pass this trip up. I was wondering if anybody is willing to give some tips for early in the season up there. I will be staying on the west side at Ludlow's. Any advice or information is appreciated. |

Location: north metro, MN | i will be on the west end as well. spring fishing in the west end is better then some think. dont be afraid to try spots that are not marked on maps as hot spots, i have seen skis up spawning in areas while walleye fishing that i have never fished or seen anyone else throwing for skis. start shallow in the bays. and try the narrow part of the lake right below wakemup bay, good spring shallow areas are all around in there. if you dont move or see fish shallow try fishing the suspended fish in the deep holes near areas that look like good spawning areas. if you see two guys throwing in a big lund with a yamaha vmax motor stop in and say hi. good luck and stick a pig |

Location: Coon Rapids, MN | Thanks! My fiance still hasn't gotten to see one so I'm hoping we can at least move some fish! I'll be out there in an older Red Lund with a merc on it. Can't imagine there will be too many boats with a girl slinging muskie baits so keep and eye out.
Good luck and good fishing! |

Are you going to post this picture in as many threads as you can possibly find? Who cares if he does??? It's probably bigger than you will ever catch and it seems everyone else likes it too. Some people are proud of catching a fish of a lifetime like that. Get a life and quit complaining!!! |
