I have a 2002 200 Ficht and the no il light keeps coming on, ( three times now) there is oil in the line, and in the tank. Anyone else have this issue before?

I had an '02 Ficht 90 and this happened to me maybe 4-5 times, usually in really rough conditions. I usually just powered down, restarted, and that did the trick. Never had any other issues with that motor, either.

I was testing a boat that had a 150 Johnson FICHT on it a couple years ago. It did the same thing over and over again. Mostly when going wide open throttle. The motor would then shut down and limit engine rpm unless I turned it off to reset it.
Sorry, never did figure out what the problem was because I never bought that boat. The motor issues alone were enough to keep me from buying it.

This is a guess but there was an update done on the lift pump in the oil system. If that upgrade wasn't done I could see this being the cause of this no oil warning because it wasn't sending enough pressure into the sensors. Mine did this prior to getting that upgrade done....hasn't done it since.

Wdykstra, Beware dude...I had a 2000 Ficht 200 which ran fine until this year...oil pump went out and sensor did not pick it up...pistons seized and one rod broke through the engine...needed new engine. I learned through the grape vine that those Ficht engines have lots and lots of problems with the fuel pump and sensor and were a contributing factor to OMC's bankruptcy and sell out to Bombardier. You might want to consider replacing the fuel pump and sensor anyway...cheaper than the alternative casue when it goes you are hosed. Good luck.
