Location: New Jersey | I was changing my plugs in my 9.9 four stroke johnson and i noticed something just lying on the bottom. Is this a tool that somebody dropped or part of the engine?
Its about 2.5 inches long and has a spring type assembly on it.
Engine seems to run fine, but i am curious.
thanks, Rob

Location: NW WI | Is there a parts breakout w/pictures for your motor online? Take it to a local dealer that works on your brand of motors and ask him? I have some other ideas....PM me if you want. |

Location: Hayward, WI | I think it is for the eletric choke, it is the part that goes inside of the solenoid and moves when the choke is used. |

Location: New Jersey | Well, it is part of the automatic choke. Now, the problem is according to boats.net my engine J10EL4SR doesnt exist? It is a 2004 Johnson 9.9 4 stroke remote, but i can not find the part number of the piece i need.
This is VERY frustrating, anybody have any ideas or know somebody who works for Johnson?
Much appreciated, thanks, Rob |
