I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a rain suit and I have narrowed my choice down to either the Frabill FXE storm suit or Cabella's guide wear X300 and was looking for some insight as to what everyone else thinks.

Thanks

I personally own a pair of both suits your comparing. The Cabela's Guidewear has treated me extremely well the last few seasons, really well actually. After using my Stormsuit a few times while being down south over the last few months, the one thing that sets the Stormsuit apart from the Guidewear in my opinion is just how adjustable it is. The hood, the waist cinch, the cam buckle system and the storm cuffs are just a few things that I've found to be extremely adjustable and differ from my Guidewear.

Either way you go I don't think you'll go wrong, but if your looking for a suit that offers a lot of adjustment, the Stormsuit is worth a look then.

The other advantage to the Frabill is double adjustable cuffs, interior and exterior, so rain won't soak your wrists and shirt sleeves and run to your arm pits while casting in heavy rain. Totally waterproof crotch, benefit is obvious. The hood is vented for air entering under power in a boat, so it won't rip off because you don't have it tied tightly enough or beat you up flapping in the breeze. The legs and arms are articulated, so the suit fits well sitting, kneeling, or standing. I've only worn mine three times, but really really like it so far. The Pros wearing this suit, including Troy Lindner, tell me you could walk through a running car wash and stay dry.
